Quincy Compressors began in 1920 in the town of Quincy, Illinois when its three founders manufactured a vacuum pump to assist in milking cows. By 1924, Quincy expanded into the compressed air field. Quincy moved production to Minette, Alabama in 1980. Today, Quincy continues to manufacture compressors in Alabama and at its new facility in China.
Quincy Compressors manufactures both large industrial built-to-suit units and smaller home, shop and contractor models. Quincy also makes compressors designed specifically for the medical field.
Quincy Compressors manufactures a rotary screw line of air compressors that range in engine output from 5 hp to 350 hp. Quincy recently built a new manufacturing plant in Alabama designed for the exclusive production of the rotary screw line. Rotary screw compressors feature precision-crafted rotors, Triplex bearings and cutting edge PowerSync controls. Quincy’s rotary screw compressors are quiet, durable and reliable. They can operate continuously for 24 hours a day.
Quincy offers an oil-less line of compressors in both single and two-stage varieties. Single-stage compressors are available with engines ranging from 2 to 30 hp. Two-stage compressors are available in 5 to 30 hp varieties.
Quincy’s splash lubricated compressors are available in standard two-stage, single-stage four cylinder and two-stage four cylinder models. The four cylinder models are available with 60-80 gallon tanks and pump between 18 and 22 SCFM depending on the model.
For industrial applications, Quincy produces pressure lubricated, heavy-duty models. These models feature rebuildable components and range in engine output from 3 to 25 hp. Their specially-designed Safe-Q-Lubrication allows the compressor to start load-free until oil pressure rises.
A specialized air compressor line is available for natural gas applications. This version is constructed exclusively of steel or aluminum. Engines are available from 10 to 25 hp. This line is a proven performer that requires little maintenance.
