The Puma company has been manufacturing air compressors since 1991. They began by manufacturing compressors in the 3-80 gallon range. After a few years they began manufacturing air compressors as big as 250 gallons. Puma air compressors are designed for a variety of uses, from the dentist office to the home to the professional garage.

Puma’s smallest compressors are the 1 gallon mini-hot dog and the 1.5 gallon hot dog. These oil-free compressors are designed for around-the-house use. The 1 gallon unit operates at 1 hp and pumps air at a rate of .70 SCFM. The 1.5 gallon unit has 1 hp as well and pumps 2.2 SCFM at 90 psi.

Puma makes two carry-along compressors in 2 and 4 gallon configurations. The 2 gallon model has 1 hp and pumps 2.2 SCFM at 90 psi. the 4 gallon compressor has a 2 hp engine that pumps at 4.6 SCFM at 90 psi.

Puma’s wheel-along compressors are 20 gallon models available in both horizontal and vertical designs. They feature a cast-iron, splash-lubricated pump and belt drive operation. They have a 2 hp engine pumping out 5.5 SCFM at 90 psi.

Puma makes two different 60 gallon stand-alone models. Both models are single-stage compressors. One has a 3 hp motor and the other a 5 hp. The 3 hp model pumps 12 SCFM at 90 psi. the 5 hp model pumps 18 SCFM at 90 psi.

Puma manufactures 120 gallon stand alone compressors designed for shop use. These models are available with two different engines just like the 60 gallon models. These compressors are both two-stage units. Two-stage pumps produce higher SCFM more efficiently and with less heat. The 10 hp model pumps out 34.2 SCFM at 175 psi. The 15 hp model delivers air flow at a rate of 48.1 SCFM at 175 psi.
