The Kaeser company was founded in 1919 in Coburg, Germany as an engineering workshop producing engine parts and specialized machinery for the glass industry. In 1973, Kaeser became an innovator in the rotary screw air compressor design. In 1982, Kaeser opened a plant in the United States. Today, Kaeser remains a family-owned company with over 3000 employees. Kaeser produces a wide range of products including portable compressors and rotary screw compressors.
Kaeser’s Mobilair Series of portable screw compressors are powerful units designed for rugged use and dependable performance. They are available with air flow rates from 50 to 950 SCFM. They feature large fuel tanks and are constructed for maximum durability with industrial grade materials to resist rust and corrosion. Towable versions are available with torsion bar suspensions, oversized tires and an a height adjustable tow bar for excellent road handling.
Kaeser’s rotary screw design is available with v-belt drive and direct drive. Small v-belt models are available in 3 to 30 hp in four different series of compressors: SX, SM, SK and AS. These units vary in air flow from 4.5 to 124 SCFM. These models are economical, efficient and reliable. These units are controlled by Sigma Control units with an industrial-based PC with an Intel microprocessor.
Direct drive models are available in Kaeser’s ASD and ESD series. These compressors range in power from 25-300 hp. Air flow capacities range between 25 and 300 hp. In direct drive models, the airend is directly connected to the motor via a maintenance free coupling. This eliminates transmission losses, leading to outstanding performance and increased savings on energy costs.
Kaeser’s FS and HS series are v-belt drive models custom made for specific industrial uses. They range in horsepower from 335 to 600. Air flow capacities of these large compressors range from 1183 to 3308 SCFM.
